Conference 2021

Matthew 11:28-29
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.

As Christian mamas raising children for the glory of the Lord and the furthering of His kingdom, seeking to be fruitful and multiply, to faithfully accomplish the gloriously ordinary (and the ordinarily glorious) tasks before us each day… we are often exhausted, weary, spent, tired. We need rest.

And where do we find this rest? Do we find it by setting aside thirty minutes every afternoon for a nap? Do we find it by sleeping in later each morning? Do we find it by turning the lights out at 9pm each evening? Is it actually about sleep? Is it about physical fatigue alone? While physical exhaustion is a very real part of motherhood, the mental weariness and emotional fritz and spiritual emptiness are just as real.

We find our rest–the deepest and sweetest rest–in the Word. In Scripture. In Jesus. In salvation. In the hope of God.

So this year, on the heels of having talked about all sorts of disciplines last year, we will explore a variety of topics relating to the real rest we need as Christian mamas. How do we use rest in motherhood? Where do we go when we are exhausted? What is the Sabbath, the Day of Rest, for and how do we pursue it? Is it a paradox to actively pursue rest?

All of this and more, we will be addressing. And, of course, there will be food and drink and merriment, fellowship and fun and gifts, encouragement and exhortation and enlightenment.

Please pray for the preparations being made at this time, and mark your calendar for the opening of Early Bird Registration on August 20th.

Please join us on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 for this event, specifically curated for Christian mamas raising & educating their children in the nurture & admonition of the Lord.

Location: His Place Church in Post Falls, ID (3079 E 16th AVE POST FALLS, ID 83854).

Last year, we sold out all the seats we were allotted by the location in just two weeks! As usual, there is limited space, so we recommend getting your registration done early. Please read our Policies here. If you have registered for Rest, you will receive the link to download the recordings (including video again this year!) for personal use afterward, whether you showed up to the event or not. So you can have lifetime access to this encouragement as long as you have registered. We may even have a secret perk and special gift to share with you prior to our live event, to whet your appetite and increase your joy!

We will have a hotel block at the Best Western in Liberty Lake, WA (just a 10-12 minute drive to the conference) for your use if you plan to stay overnight before or after the conference. We will arrange for you to have a 2-queen room for $89+tax if you call (509) 755-1111 and tell them you are “with the Paideia conference.”
If you prefer to do your own legwork, there are lots of other options (hotels and AirBnbs) in Spokane or Liberty Lake, WA and Post Falls or Coeur d’Alene, ID.
