Wonder-Wisdom-Worship
Exodus 15:11
Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods?
Who is like you, majestic in holiness,
awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?
Do you ever get so caught up in the frenzy of motherhood, the good deeds of housekeeping & homemaking, the checklists for each child’s education… that you begin to miss the awe and wonder of life all around you? Have you longed to stare at the stars and examine wildflowers with your children? Have you desired to get lost in a symphony or an art museum with them? Have you been so hurried that the world zips by at a pace that keeps you from indulging in wonder over the Creator and what He has done?
Hebrews 12:28
…let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe…
We need to engage with this wonderful, wonder-filled world because our Creator placed us in the midst of it in order to subdue it, fill it, enjoy it, and glorify Him in it! Having this attitude of wonder ought to bring us to a healthy fear of our marvelous God, which is the beginning of knowledge, understanding, & wisdom. The more we grow in wisdom, the more we will wonder over this incredible God! And that will inevitably drive us to worship Him. The cyclical and interrelational aspects of wonder, wisdom, and worship are so important for us as Christian mothers to ponder, pursue, and prioritize. But how can we do that? What if that example has never been set for us? Where do we begin? How do we lead our children in wonder by being filled with wonder ourselves? How do we grow in true, godly wisdom? What different aspects of worship are fueled by wonder and implemented in wisdom?
Psalm 77:11-14
I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
yes, I will remember Your wonders of old.
I will ponder all Your work,
and meditate on Your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders;
You have made known Your might among the peoples.
On the most recent episodes of the Paideia Conversations podcast, you can listen in to hear a sneak preview from each of this year’s conference speakers. It really should whet your appetite to hear from Pam, Heather, and Mystie in those episodes!
Psalm 33:8
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him!
All of these things, and much more, will be addressed at this year’s Paideia Northwest conference. And, of course, your all-inclusive ticket is your pass for all the food and drink and merriment, fellowship and fun and gifts, encouragement and exhortation and enlightenment. The luncheon will be catered by Panera Bread again this year, and we will have a special coffee vendor – Abide Coffee Culture, which has a beautiful vision right here in our local region. We are looking forward to welcoming some fun vendors to bring beauty and wonder and atmosphere and wisdom to a small, curated vendor hall – check out past and current vendors here.
Do you love tangible things to remember special events? Do you want to help support Paideia Northwest in ministering to regional mamas? To help support this work, and the labors behind the scenes, we will have our limited edition 2022 tees and mugs (3 colors/designs) available at the conference itself! It’s on the honor system, with a suggested donation of $20 per item. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about it!
As a special treat, there will be an optional Friday evening event for registered mamas and their husbands and/or older children! Details will be forthcoming through email to all conference registrants, but make sure you reserve Friday, 11/4/22 from 6:30-8:30pm for a casual but lovely Evening of Poetry as well featuring local poets Jason Farley and Joffre Swait, plus special guest speaker Kristen Kill.

Location: Valley Real Life Church (1831 S. Barker Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99016).
Last year, we sold out of all the seats we were allotted by the location in eleven days… this year, who knows?! Please read our Policies here. If you have registered for WonderWisdomWorship, you will receive the link to download the recordings for personal use afterward, whether you showed up to the event or not. So you can have lifetime access to this encouragement as long as you have registered. For those who do attend in person, we are curating a small vendor area to bless and uplift you… and a slew of giveaways that are always a lot of fun! Plus there is absolutely nothing like face to face fellowship – it is a foundational principle behind the Paideia Northwest vision.
We have a hotel block at the Best Western in Liberty Lake (just a 10-12 minute drive to the conference) for your use if you plan to stay overnight before or after the conference. The special room rate is no longer available for new reservations, but it’s still a reasonable option for overnight stays. There are also lots of other options (hotels and AirBnbs) in Spokane or Liberty Lake, WA and Post Falls or Coeur d’Alene, ID.
Please do not hesitate to contact me (Melissa) with any questions at [email protected]
If you have a genuine financial need, please contact me to discuss the potential of receiving a sponsored conference ticket. Olive Tree Bible Software is the generous sponsor of some tickets this year, and we are grateful to share this encouraging day with extra women, thanks to Olive Tree’s generosity.
Psalm 86:8-10
There is none like You among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like Yours. All the nations You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and shall glorify Your name. For You are great and do wondrous things; You alone are God.
