statement of faith

We Believe…

…in the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct…

One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit…

Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory…

The Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by grace through faith, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit…

The Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ…

The Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of a virgin, Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into Hades.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into Heaven,
where He sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From thence He shall come to  judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
one holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and everlasting life.

Statement regarding Christian Education:

Education is the process by which people acquire knowledge, skills, habits, virtues and attitudes.
Education aims, by the process of teaching and learning, to provide for the nurture and development of the whole man (also known as paideia) for his proper end. True knowledge and wisdom have their beginnings in the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7, 9-10), and the teaching of maths and sciences, humanities and arts, language, technical skills, and all other educational endeavors for the training up of our children begins & ends with His fear.

The word Christian means being Christ centered and Christ-like (Acts 11:26).
Christian education aims to bring children to a knowledge of Jesus Christ as Savior in obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) by challenging them to believe in Christ.
Christian education aims to give children direction from God’s Word for their studies in all subjects, showing them that Christ’s Lordship applies to all areas of education.
Christian education aims to teach children to observe all things that God says in His Word, because they are created in His image and need to be prepared by God’s grace to stand as Christians in this present world.
Christian education aims to accomplish the Christ-centered, Christ-like enculturation of our children by laying a solid foundation of skills, knowledge and Christian virtues.

We believe that children being raised for God are under the authority of His Word (the Bible). Their education receives its mandate from Scriptures (Deuteronomy 6:5-9) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). This is the responsibility of the parents (Deuteronomy 6:7, Ephesians 6:4), and others deemed delegates by the parents (schools, tutors, etc).

The teaching and acquiring (learning) of knowledge, skills, habits, virtues and attitudes in Christian education should be based on unchanging truths (Thy Word is truth, John 17:17). It ought aim to do this through diligent teaching (Deuteronomy 6:7), instruction (Proverbs 1:8), training (Proverbs 22:6), nurture and admonition (Ephesians 6:4), to confront a person with his need of salvation and his responsibility to glorify God in all areas of his life (1 Corinthians 10:31) and to present himself completely unto God (Romans 12:1-2). Full Christian education can be described as paideia, which involves the whole person, i.e. mentally, physically, spiritually and socially (And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man, Luke 2:52).

All Scripture (Genesis 1:1 – Revelation 22:21) is to be used in every aspect of life and in all subjects, because it is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine (teaching), for reproof (testing, conviction), for correction (restoration, improvement), for instruction (discipline, training, chastening) in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
